At Ballacain, you have the luxury of the glorious Isle of Man countryside right on your doorstep. Simply turn left out of the pillared driveway for a picturesque stroll down Groudle Glen to the sea, or turn right and a fifteen minute walk will take you to the stunning Clypse/ Kerrowdoo Reservoir.
Other walks include the historical Peel walk, starting at the beach and finishing at the magnificent Peel Castle. Or take the Douglas walk, an excellent route for the whole family with plenty of attractions along the way.
For the more adventurous, the Port St. Mary walk starts along the coastal path and finishes back at Port St. Mary - giving you the chance to breathe in the refreshing sea air and take in the glorious sea views. Grey seals, basking sharks, small whales, dolphins and porpoises are regular visitors to the Island's waters.
